Touring Canti

The Touring Canti is similar to the Neo-Retro cantilever in many ways, but the arms are angled upward to give the brake a much narrower profile. This can come in handy if you're riding with large panniers or if your current brakes don't have enough heel or calf clearance. The Kool Stop brake pads have spherical washers to fine tune pad angle, and the arms of the Touring Canti are slotted so the pads can be adjusted up and down. The spring tension of each pivot can be adjusted independently, giving you total control of how "snappy" your brakes feel at the lever. The stainless steel pivot is sealed to prevent grime from entering the interior, and comes pre-greased from our plant. Like most of our components, the Touring Canti is available with a black or silver anodization, or with a high polish that gives them a mirror-like finish. One of our favorite setups is what we call the Paul-Canti-Combo: a Neo-Retro in the front for maximum power where you need it, and a Touring Canti in the rear for more clearance. The straddle wire and hanger are included, and the pivots are pre-greased. We recommend running a lower straddle wire with this brake, about 1½" above the tire. Tech Info:
