100% PURE MOUNTAIN CRANK

100% Pure Crank now available from Paul. Two distinct versions for which ever kind of single speeding you are into. The road cranks take advantage of the narrower chainstays found on road frames, and the narrower chain line of our High Flange Hubs. The Mountain cranks are wider at the pedals to clear chainstays designed for fat tires, although they are still fairly narrow by current mountain bike standards. Please see diagram adjacent and measure before installing. Both cranks use an interlocking chain ring/crank interface secured by four stainless steel chain ring bolts. All chain rings fit both cranks. The chain rings are machined out of 6.3mm thick aluminum plate; very sturdy. They only come in an 1/8th inch (track and bmx) wide version at this moment. The road version is our "Royal Flush" suit of cards design while the mountain chain rings get a "four circles" treatment. Big bling.

Now for the important part. There are two square taper designs in use today, JIS (Shimano, and pretty much everyone else except Campagnolo), and ISO which is used by Campagnolo. We designed both of these cranks around Campagnolo 111 width spindles, so that's what you should use. They make a really affordable one called the ACH, and they make some really nice expensive ones too. We also strongly recommend the Phil Wood 110.5 Campy taper bottom backet which lets you fine tune the chain line.
