Disk WORD
This Disk WORD hub takes the basic design of our famous WORD hub and adds an ISO disk mount and the option for fixed gear threading.
The six bolt ISO disk brake rotor mount is machined into the hub shell alongside flanges that have been increased in diameter from the original WORD design.
The standard Disk WORD hub has freewheel threading on the driveside for standard BMX style freewheels. The option is also available for a Fixed Disk WORD hub with fixed gear cog and lockring threads.
Like all of our hubs, the Disk WORD turns on a high strength 7075 aluminum axle and two replaceable sealed cartridge bearings. We sell the Disk WORD with both quick-release and bolt-on axles, and it's very easy to convert from one to the other with the addition of Rear QR Nubs or Word Bolts.
If you're getting a Fixed Disk WORD hub we highly recommend the bolt-on axle option, unless your dropouts have axle stopping hardware like our Dropouts.
Fresh bearings, axle conversion kits, and other spare parts are available for hub overhauls and rebuilds.
We stock the Disk WORD in 32 and 36 hole spoke drillings, and other drillings may be available upon request.
