Funky Monkey Fronts are available with three different inside diameters.

The 1 ¹⁄₈" version fits around the steerer tube of modern threadless forks.

The 1" version fits around threadless steerer tubes with an outside diameter of 1", and around quill stems with an outside diameter of 1".

⁷⁄₈" is equivalent to 22.2mm, and this version fits around quill stems stems with a standard ⁷⁄₈" outside diameter.

Funky Monkey Front

The Funky Monkey Front is a simple hanging cable stop for front centerpull and cantilever brakes.

Three clamp sizes are available to work with threaded or threadless headsets. The 1 ¹⁄₈" Funky Monkey works great with threadless headsets, clamping to the steerer tube between the stem and upper headset bearing. The ⁷⁄₈" version clamps onto the lower portion of quill stems installed in threaded headsets, and the 1" inch version can clamp to 1" threadless steerer tubes or 1" quill stems.

The extra long arm drops down to prevent brake cable housing from bending too tightly and binding up, and the arm sticks out far enough to clear most headsets. A barrel adjuster is included to make front brake cable adjustments quick and painless.
