Mountain Thumbies

These are shifter mounts designed to be used with indexed bar end (aka barcon) shifters from Shimano, Campagnolo, or SRAM. These indexed shifters are readily available in 8, 9, and 10-speed, and most have a friction option for everything else. Admittedly, we weren't sure at first if these would be a good thing or something kind of gimmicky. But upon testing them, it was love at first ride. Not only did the thumb shifting action of old come instantly back, it did so in a way never before imagined. The bike shifted more precisely and smoothly than ever before. Better in our opinion than trigger or twist shifters. Installation is easy and straight forward. They do not include the shifters; you must provide them. We know they work with the Shimano, Campagnolo, and SRAM bar ends, but they may also work with some down tube shifters as well. We've improved upon the Mountain Thumbies design by raising the shifter boss by 3mm. This gives enough clearance to use Mountain Thumbies with brake levers that use a two bolt clamp. We make Mountain Thumbies in three distinct versions to pair with Shimano bar end, Campagnolo bar end, or SRAM TT shifters. Each company has their own shifter boss fitting, and they are incompatible with one another. Make sure you order the proper Thumbies to go with your shifters. Tech Info:
