Steve Rex
 
Steve Rex and I worked in two bike shops at the same time in Sacramento while going to college. He went on to make frames and I went on to make parts. This is my first custom bike made for me around 1995. The beautiful paint is by Russ Picket of Airart. I sold it around 2000 and just recently when it came up for consignment at my favorite local bike shop I had to put together a complicated deal with the proprietor to get it back-he wanted it too.
 
I built it up with a SRAM Rival drive train and after a few rides I still don't know what to think about it. The rear hub is one of ours and maybe the last prototype rear cassette hub. Now if we can just find the time to make more we may have some for sale soon.
