Soulcraft Single Speed

This is a perfectly balanced bike. The frame material is Renolds 853 steel. In my mind it is the pinnacle of frame materials. There is this thing about a steel frame. I believe it's called the indescribable feel of steel. Here's the deal-it's got a snap to it. You push on the pedal, there is some flex, and then you reach the bottom of the pedal stroke and this thing happens as the frame is unweighted-that is where the magic is. I believe it's because steel has the highest modulous of elasticity of all the metalic frame building materials. Anyway this thing just plain hooks up. I loved the look and light weight of this fork, but it's performance wasn't so hot. It now has a Marzocchi. The Motolites' on this rig work better then the disks on my other mountain bike, really they do.
