In the back is our standard front disk hub, the front is the new WHUB
Introducing the future of mountain bike front hubs, the WHUB. Call it a “wub”, the h is silent. We set out to do a dishless disk front hub and our first effort was a 120mm wide hub. This is the narrowest for a truly dishless front disk hub. Jeff Jones of Jones Bicycles saw it and thought if 120 was good, 135 would be better! Plus 120mm quick releases are hard to come by.
This is probably the widest bicycle hub shell ever made. The wheels build up SUPER strong and stay true a long time. The special forks are made by Vicious for Jeff Jones. Contact him or your favorite custom builder for a fork. This hub WILL NOT work with the Surly Puglsey fork. That fork is set up for rear disk spacing which is different than front disk spacing. The WHUB uses the front disk standard.
Basically it’s a FHUB that’s been put on the rack and stretched out so it still has our nice bearings and adjustment system. These are available in disk only and quick release only as well. The hot setup is to have it paired with a super wide snow rim and Surly’s 26 x 3.7 Endomorph tire.
