Compatible with our stem and chainring bolts, but please remember to use the recommended torque specifications upon final tightening.

When we built the #SierraKlunker last year we asked @passandstowracks if he’d be interested in building us a rack for it and dang were we impressed! How can a structure so light be so solid?! With tubular hand-brazed construction and obsessive attention to detail, with features like: light mount, internal dynamo cable routing, water bottle braze-ons, and the ability to run panniers on the lowers make this the REAR DEAL for everything from city shlepping to hard-core mountain touring. We love that Matt takes his piles of boxed finished racks to the post office via cargo bike too! So you know when we started brainstorming the #SierraExplorerBike build one of the first things we thought of was “It’ll need a Pass and Stow!”

We’ve been making these brakes for 5 years now, and they’ve proven themselves all over the world, from desert touring to Sierra Nevada dusty downhills to icy Alaskan glaciers. Being-cable actuated, you don’t need any fluids or bleed kits or special tools. Bolt em on, break em in and enjoy the reliability. 2. The actuator arms are swappable between short-pull, long-pull, and Campy-pull. Gravel, mountain, road: pick a bike, these will work. 3. Available in Post-Mount and Flat-Mount. Cable tension can be adjusted on the caliper with the built-in barrel adjuster. 4. Here’s where the Klampers get their ⚡️POWER⚡️. Oversized bearings ride in the CNC machined races of our heat-treated steel pistons. 🦾 5. Instead of a plastic thrust washers we use flat needle roller thrust bearings. 6. We ship these brakes with USA made @koolstopusa pads but they’ll work with any brand that fit the most common Avid/SRAM Elixer pad shape, easy to find at most bike shops for convenience sake. 7. Pad adjusters are adjustable independently and tool free. 8. Machined to the highest tolerances by us right here in Chico California by total BIKE NERDS. 9. We don’t generally encourage people to completely disassemble their brakes like this (you shouldn’t need to!) but this does show how simple and field serviceable these brakes really are with nothing but a good multitool. We wanted to help but were just not sure what we could do…then we found some inspiration from our buddies over at @crustbikes who gave away a brand-new Crust frame for donation to the relief effort. So we thought, hey, we could do something like that! We dug around and came up with this one-off gruppo and we want YOU to have it! All you have to do is go donate $25 (or more!) to one of the direct relief efforts listed below, take a screen shot of your donation and email lindsay@paulcomp.com with the subject Australian Fire Relief. We will choose a random winner from a hat on Feb 5th. When @sierranevada asked us if we’d build them another sweet bike to show off at @seaotterclassic (and then give away) we said “Heck yeah!”. Then we asked our buddy Tyler at @btchn.bikes here in Chico if he wanted to build us a rad #BikePacking frame and he said “Hell YES!” and 💣BOOM💥 the project has begun. The torch is LIT👨‍🏭 and in these photos Tyler is installing bottle braze-ons and brazing the front triangle, then brazing the chainstays, then chainstays to dropouts, while checking alignment along the way on his NECA frame alignment table.
