Product Story

When it comes to disk brakes, perfect tolerances matter, and these adapters are machined to extremely high tolerances here in Chico California for a precision fit.

These particular adapters allow you to mount post-mount disk brakes onto flat-mount forks. They come in either 20mm or 0mm sizes. To figure out what size adapter you need, first find out what size rotor the fork was designed for. For instance, if the fork was designed for a 140mm rotor (most flat-mount forks are), and that’s the size rotor you’re using, you’ll use the 0mm adapter. If you’d like to bump up to a 160mm rotor on that same fork, you’ll want the 20mm adapter. If you’re trying to run 180 rotors, this might not work, it depends on your fork design.

Bigger rotors=more stopping power, so opt for the bigger rotor if you have the option.

(2) 5x14mm screws for mounting the adapter to the fork are included, and you’ll use the hardware that came with your disk brake to mount the brake to the adapter.

Did you know that Chico’s annual Bidwell Bump mo Did you know that Chico’s annual Bidwell Bump mountain bike race predates the first Repack?!
It’s a beautiful rugged loop with a creek crossing in Upper Park, and registration is still open for this year’s October 5th running. Head over to @bikereg and type in Bidwell Bump to get in on this historic race, and all proceeds go to Velo Trail Works.
Also, if you want to read a hilarious recounting of the first race in 1976 by local legend Chuck Bodfish (keep in mind, mountain bikes weren’t really invented yet), head over to the PAUL Comp website and type “Bidwell Bump” into the search bar.
