Product Story

Important Installation instructions:

Grease the stem faceplate mounting screws, insert the handlebar, and tighten the bolts evenly (like car wheel lugnuts) using a torque wrench (we offer a good one specifically for this below if you need one) until reaching the recommended torque of 4 Newton Meters. Check that the gap between the faceplate and stem is even on the top and bottom of the stem. If it is not, loosen the screws completely and start over. While standing stationary over the bike, bounce your body weight on the handlebar to check that it won’t slip. Some carbon bars can be extra slippery: if you encounter slippage, resist the urge to overtighten the faceplate screws, and instead coat the handlebar where it is held by the stem with a liberal amount of friction paste and try again. Our faceplate has a HUGE amount of surface area, so your handlebars should NOT slip at 4nm. If you exceed the recommended torque, you could damage the handlebar, stem, or yourself. If you still encounter slippage or any other problems, resist the urge to tighten the faceplate screws further, and instead contact us via the phone number at the bottom of this page, or visit a qualified bike shop.

Introducing the BËP. It’s just a handlebar plug Introducing the BËP. It’s just a handlebar plug, right? Sure, but when the machinist bike nerds at PAUL start
designing, prototyping, (obsessing), and testing a project, even a simple bar plug can end up at
NASA-level standards of tolerance, function, and reliability.
We think we’ve arrived at the highest quality handlebar plugs in the world. Cheap rubber and
plastic construction were never good enough. 100% CNC machined aluminum expanding-
wedge construction means that once tightened properly, they’re NEVER falling out or coming
loose.
Available in every color of the rainbow on our website, or from your favorite bike shop, now!

New bike camping froggy shirts and they are SUPER New bike camping froggy shirts and they are SUPER soft high quality US made 100% cotton, garment-dyed using a vintage pigment-dye process, then printed using a water based ink, so even the the ink itself has a soft touch and is breathable. So stoked on this artwork by @hurrydive and this might be the nicest t-shirt we’ve ever used. 🤌
Since we’re bringing back framebuilding parts, w Since we’re bringing back framebuilding parts, we figured we may as well make another batch of Permanent Pivots. These elegant CNC machined stainless steel brake bosses allow you to remove the pivots from any PAUL rim brakes, and mount your brakes directly to the boss for a super clean, simple aesthetic. These have been very popular when framebuilders are designing a bike around Racer and Racer-M brakes, which would be locked into PAUL brakes anyways, but you can also use them for any of our Canti and V brakes. Available on the website now!
It’s been many years since we’ve offered these It’s been many years since we’ve offered these single-speed/track dropouts, but we now have a limited run of 100 pairs available for those of you building 10mm axle singlespeed/track frames. The knurled self-nesting adjusters and locknuts make it super easy to center your wheel and dial in chain tension, then put the wheel right back where it belongs after re-installing it. Available on our website now!
